SUMMARY:Starts Dec 1 - 21 Days of Christmas 2020
DESCRIPTION:RESERVE YOUR PLACE BY FRIDAY\, NOVEMBER 13\nThe Third Annual 21 Days of Christmas is here! COVID-19 cannot cancel this one on us!!! \nOver the last couple of years\, the BIA has organized 21 Days of Christmas promoting locals to do their shopping for holiday gifts in Downtown Squamish as part of the #shoplocal campaigns for small businesses. It has been such a great success that some businesses had their largest revenue days all year during this campaign\, so we’re doing it again! \nThis year we will be marketing the entire downtown core as “you can shop safely for everyone on your Christmas list in Downtown Squamish as every business has enhanced safety measures in place”. This will encourage people downtown knowing that the measures are in place for socially distanced & safe shopping. \nEach business that signs up to participate will receive a ballot box\, ballots and a poster to display in your window notifying people that you are a participant in 21 Days of Christmas. When someone spends money at your business\, they will be entered to win THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in prizes from participating businesses’ (products and/or services). \nThe more they shop\, eat and explore in downtown Squamish\, the more chances they have to win! \nIn partnership with Mountain FM\, the entire campaign will be promoted via commercials with your business name mentioned a few times daily (the same commercial will run several times/day with 4-5 different participating business names per commercial so everyone gets exposure every day\, a few times/day – not just on one day). They’ll be DJ’ing live shoutouts challenging people to shop local in Downtown Squamish during the holidays. \nPLUS\, we will also be giving away $25 gift certificates to participating businesses on our social media each day for an extra shot of marketing support. \nWhen your business participates in our 21 Days of Christmas campaign\, it will be promoted as part of the whole campaign (as in\, your business will get exposure over the entire 21 day period\, not just on one day) in our various marketing efforts; \n\n• Radio Advertising: 3 weeks of commercials\, DJ shout-outs reminding people to “shop to win” at participating businesses\n• Your logo will appear on all the promotional material\n• Community Calendars: Downtown Squamish\, Tourism Squamish\, Squamish Adventure\, Locals Board\n• Social Media: Facebook posts & Instagram posts and stories promoting the entire campaign as well as individual participating businesses (both paid and unpaid campaigns)\n• 3 x Group Squamish Chief 2-page in colour ads. 2 during the promotional weeks and 1 afterwards as a thank you to the community for participating in the campaign\n• Large 21 Day Christmas Maps on the Event signs placed around Downtown Squamish\n\nWe acknowledge that as a small business you are all feeling the pinch from such a challenging year and we want to do everything we can to support you. So for this year\, we are able to offer you participation in this campaign for just $100 (opposed to the $300 fee in previous years) + you’ll provide us with a $25 Gift Card for the social media giveaways + a minimum $100 Worth of Products or Services for the Grand Prize giveaways. \nThe Promotional Package Value your business is getting from this entire campaign is worth over $1000. We are able to provide this type of promotional package because we are repurposing BIA funding and purchasing media as a group and as a not-for-profit organization. \nTHE DEADLINE TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT IS FRIDAY NOVEMBER 13 \nRESERVE NOW \nThank you in advance for your timeliness and your participation! \nKerry Neil – Executive Director

SUMMARY:Downtown Squamish Holiday Market & Sidewalk Sale
DESCRIPTION:The Downtown Squamish BIA and the Squamish Farmers Market (and fully supported by the District of Squamish\, Tourism Squamish & The Chamber of Commerce) are excited to bring you…. \n‘The Downtown Squamish Holiday Market & Sidewalk Sale’\nOn December 5th the Farmers Market will double in size across Cleveland Avenue to incorporate more Vendors from our community. It will allow small businesses in Squamish to sell their products & produce to our wonderful community. If you are a business that falls into the make\, bake\, grow category (no re-sale) then you will be able to apply as a Vendor for December 5. Please read on for more details about becoming a Vendor….. \nAs an extra spin on things\, Cleveland Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic from Winnipeg to Main Street to host a Sidewalk sale. This will allow for safe and socially distanced shopping at both the Market and on Cleveland Avenue. The ‘open hours’ will be from 11am to 5pm. However the road closure will be from 7am to 6pm to allow for set up and clean up. \nThis entire event is to support local small businesses and to encourage our community to come downtown and enjoy some safe and socially distanced shopping this holiday season. SUMMARY:21 days of Christmas 2021
DESCRIPTION:The Fourth Annual 21 Days of Christmas is here! \nOver the last few years\, the BIA has organized 21 Days of Christmas promoting locals to do their shopping for holiday gifts in Downtown Squamish as part of a #shoplocal campaign for small businesses and this year is no different. \nThis campaign is always such a great success. Research shows that BC local businesses create more than double the economic impact of their chain competitors. For every $100 spent with a BC local business\, $63 is re-circulated back into our BC economy. \nEach business that signs up to participate receives a ballot box\, ballots and a poster to display in their window notifying people that they are a participant in 21 Days of Christmas. When you spend a minimum of $10 at a participating business\, you simply fill out a ballot and are then entered to win THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in prizes from the participating businesses’. \n\nThe more you shop\, eat and explore in downtown Squamish\, the more chances they have to win!
