HAPPY NEW YEAR

The beginning of a New Year is a time when it is useful to reflect on the past, as well as look forward to the future. The past year has been full of many successes for Downtown Squamish, such as the renewal of the BIA, a new Pavilion for the downtown park and many others. The BIA has been working hard to be ready for 2012. We have completed a strategic planning process with Ron Trepanier of Whalebone Productions Ltd. From that we have a complete plan & budget to focus on for the next 4 years.

Sea to Sky Gondola

"The DSBIA members are invited to learn about a new proposal to build a key piece of tourism infrastructure in Squamish that would drive economic growth and create jobs through expansion of the town’s tourism sector, and further solidify Squamish as the Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada. The Sea to Sky Gondola project team welcomes input and feedback from the Squamish community and special interest groups. With such strong potential to solidify Squamish as a major tourism destination, it’s important to get it right.
