Into the Woods  Art Exhibit Opening Soiree

LOCATION: Squamish Arts Council Building in the Park
Squamish Arts Council (SAC) and Squamish Days Loggers Sports Festival present "Into the Woods", a multi disciplinary Art Exhibit featuring local artists creating art works inspired by the unique beauty of our surrounding forests and our logging heritage. Diverse range of works including installations, literary, architectural, painting, sculpture, glasswork, ceramic, textile, jewelry, film and photography.

Children's Sports
DATE: Saturday, Jul 31, 2010 - 9:30 am
LOCATION: Stan Clarke Park, Downtown Squamish
Something just for the kids! Come and meet Ronald McDonald and take part in the games and races. There will also be special events including a decorated bicycle, wheelchair, or stroller contest. Plus many entertainers and other activities for kids of all ages.

Squamish Days Bed Races
DATE: Friday, July 30 7pm
LOCATION: Cleveland Ave. Downtown Squamish
It is a race with fun and challenging obstacles such as setting a choker, eating a sundae, sawing a log and doing the hula-hoop! Prizes for the fastest teams in each division, (Men’s, Women’s & Mixed) as well as for best costumes. Sponsored by: Chef Big D's

Stompin' Sam's Lumberjack Soiree
DATE: Saturday, Jul 31, 2010 - 8:00 pm
LOCATION: The Ocean Port, Downtown Squamish

Tickets: $10 in advance - $12 at the door
There will be live music, dancing, prizes, and tons of fun! Get your friends together and dress in your lumberjack finest. Live music includes performances by Shone and, Steve Kozak's Westcoast Blues Review.

Squamish Days Festival Parade
DATE: Sunday, August 1, 11 am
LOCATION: Downtown Squamish
Bring the family and enjoy the fun! The parade will begin at Vancouver Street, travel up Cleveland Avenue and end at the Bank of Montreal. Antique Vehicles, Commercial, Log/Heavy Equipment, Community, Humorous, Marching/Drill Team, Mascot, Animals, Association/Club, and Bands. Presented by Squamish Coast Guard Auxiliary
