The 8th annual Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion, presented by Scotiabank, takes place across Canada on Sunday, June 13. Wheels In Motion brings communities together and touches the lives of thousands of Canadians with spinal cord injury (SCI) every year. Downtown Squamish at the end of Cleveland Avenue.

Pipe Band Parade
DATE: June 19th

The BC Legion Highland Gathering starts downtown Squamish with a parade of 14 from around the Province competing for best band on Parade. This year, Squamish’s Black Tusk Caledonia Pipe Band will host the event that will bring over 150 musicians and their families to Squamish for the celebration. The Pipe Band will then begin there opening ceremonies at Brennan Park with the mass start to the Test of Metal.

The Squamish Community Policing Office newsletter was delivered this month offering Crime Prevention Tips on Theft and Robbery. If you haven’t signed up to participate in this Program offered to all Squamish Businesses, please consider the benefits that this initiative has to offer including a monthly newsletter with valuable tips, improved communication and relationships with the local RCMP Detachment, invitations to Presentations and Seminars and the opportunity to receive Alerts via email that include photos of “Persons of Interest” to the Police.
